I commute via public transportation in my everyday life so I want and need a shoe that I can walk around in, hence I mostly wear flats. I love flats, do not get me wrong but I also like a little variety and diversity in my shoe game. To that end, I have been exploring my options that fit the commuter bill. Through this exploration, I figured out that a low-heeled pump may be an option. I used to have an aversion to low-heeled shoes. They just didn't seem to have a place in my wardrobe nor did they fit the look I was going for. As my style direction has changed, my tastes have evolved, and my requirement for comfort has increased - the low-heeled pump now works for me.
I appreciate that low-heeled pumps do not sacrifice comfort and wearability in the name of style. Not that the lack of comfort was really the issue with low-heeled pumps. For me, the problem has been more of one of style. However, the styling has been on point lately. From high end to fast fashion, there are many stylish low-heeled pumps available. Take this pair from Zara, they are feminine and subtly sexy. At two inches in height, they are also completely appropriate for commuting. Style + comfort = get in my shopping cart.
